Dirk Michaelis brings festive sounds to Gera
On Sunday, December 6, 2026, Dirk Michaelis will perform with his Christmas tour at the COMMA club center in Gera. From 6:00 PM, the Berlin singer combines personal songwriting, German pop ballads, and a festive atmosphere into a delightful concert experience during the pre-Christmas season.
Between East German Rock History and Timeless Songcraft
Dirk Michaelis is one of the defining voices of East German rock and pop history. As the singer of Karussell, he became well-known for the song When I Left. The composition has become a classic of German-language music and continues to shape the emotional side of his repertoire.
His stage performance thrives on a distinctive voice, clear musical arrangement, and an immediate connection to the audience. Between pop, rock ballads, and poetic chanson, concert moments arise that do not rely on grand effects: The focus is on melody, lyrics, expression, and the special live atmosphere.

His songs unfold their effect through orchestration, the dynamics of arrangements, and the synchronization of voice, instruments, and light. Especially his ballads create that concentrated audience atmosphere where individual lines linger long after.
The Christmas tour connects familiar songs with a seasonal concert feeling. The focus is not on a typical year-end but rather on an evening with personality, musical experience, and songs that accompany several generations.
