Kaufland, dm, Euronics XXL, and the Most Important Stores in the Gera Arcaden
The Gera Arcaden thrive not only on their size but especially on the combination of strong anchor tenants and complementary specialty stores. The official center also emphasizes that fashion for her, him, and kids, technical innovations, beauty highlights, and decorative items make up a large part of the offerings. For the content logic of the Gera Arcaden, this means: search terms for specific stores are not random but reflect concrete usage intentions. Those searching for Kaufland usually want groceries and weekly shopping. Those entering dm or pharmacy think of health and everyday life. Those looking for Euronics XXL expect technology and service. These thematic clusters are particularly valuable for the visibility of the center. ([geraarcaden.de](https://www.geraarcaden.de/de/germany/geraarcaden/geschafte/kaufland/68493?utm_source=openai))

Those walking through the center quickly notice that a stay without a major plan is possible: arrive, orient, shop, eat a little, charge the mobile phone, supervise children, or buy a gift. This makes the Gera Arcaden particularly relevant for search queries related to food, information, and practical services. Gift Cards, Customer Information, Kids' World, and Jobs in the Gera Arcaden
Another central theme around the Gera Arcaden is the connection between service, family, and work. The Gera Arcaden gift card can be loaded with values between 10 and 500 Euros, can be ordered online, and is sent with a gift envelope upon request. Additionally, the balance can be checked online, and the card is generally valid for three years from the date of purchase. For many visitors, this is a practical orientation when it comes to gift cards, questions about the center, or quick help during shopping. The location becomes even more family-friendly with the Kids' World: children aged 3 to 14 are cared for there while parents can shop in peace. The creative and craft offerings change weekly, and the Kids' World is open on Fridays from 3 PM to 7 PM and Saturdays from 1 PM to 7 PM; according to the official description, it is located on the 1st floor next to H&M. The career page regularly features job advertisements from various tenants and partners, such as Euronics XXL, TK Maxx, Tayler, Schneider Moden, Zappendorfer, or other locations in the center. The Gera Arcaden are thus not just a shopping place but an environment where shopping, family time, service, and employment closely intertwine. Those searching for gift cards, customer information, childcare, or jobs are not looking for fringe topics but for real usage paths of the center. These search intentions should become visible in the SEO structure. ([geraarcaden.de](https://geraarcaden.de/de/germany/geraarcaden/geschenkkarte?utm_source=openai))

Those inquiring on-site should know that only EC card payments are accepted at customer information. Additionally, the website shows that the center also plays a role as a workplace. The career page regularly features job advertisements from various tenants and partners, such as Euronics XXL, TK Maxx, Tayler, Schneider Moden, Zappendorfer, or other locations in the center. This is important for the content strategy because job, career, or part-time job search queries not only concern the management of the center but also specific rental partners in the building.
Shopping Sundays, Events, and the Special Lifestyle of the Gera Arcaden
The Gera Arcaden are a center with an event character, and this is precisely what distinguishes them from a purely functional shopping place. The website maintains news and events separately, and in recent months, several Sunday openings, action formats, and show elements have been announced there. One example was the shopping Sunday on September 14, when the center was open from 12 PM to 5 PM and an entertainment and knowledge show was additionally announced. Another example was the shopping Sunday on October 5, with opening hours from 1 PM to 6 PM, a raffle, and free cotton candy for children. Fashion events such as the autumn trends with MEIN FISCHER on October 25, 2025, where the center reportedly became a runway, or the Christmas staging with dancing Christmas trees, the Snow Queen, the Mad Hatter and Alice on stilts, as well as Santa Claus, were also included. The Westfieldrise page also mentions the annual fashion show, Ladies Night, and the format Arcaden dances as well-known event components of the location. This event feeling is spatially supported by the location directly at Gera's new center and the river Weiße Elster, making the Arcaden not only function well inside but also be perceived as an urban center. The official message of the website, that good mood starts here, fits this self-image: the center aims not only to enable shopping but to create a quality stay. For search queries like shopping Sunday, dance, events, or program, this is crucial because visitors are looking for specific dates, actions, and moods here. The Gera Arcaden regularly provide content and a stage for seasonal experiences that go far beyond the classic shopping everyday life. I spent a few hours here today. I liked the reindeer, the beaver, and the bear the most. Apart from the animals, the book corner attracted my attention, but there wasn’t a single book in English, so I didn’t do any reading. In general, there are quite a lot of people here, so shopping is not very easy. The restaurants and cafés are quite crowded, but I managed to eat something in peace. The internet is poor.

All the requirements can be met here at one place. You have stores for groceries, medicine, clothes, electronics, kids requirements and many more things. It is just in front of the tram station. So you can easily commute.

I am sure more than 50% of commercial activity in this mall happens at kaufland and that tells you the mall's story in a nut shell. It is sad that there is not even one good quality cafe but there is unfortunately no coffee culture in economically depressed and mid sized towns in Germany so no surprises there. And yes, you can also buy the ice cream made from powders and artificial colours and preservatives or perhaps you fancy something from ditsch? I certainly don't...

Tons of stores, nice layout and a bit of everything, so you will definitely find something here! The food area lacks seating and the choices for restaurants could be better. If you park in the garage there's an option for all day parking for 3€, much cheaper than the hourly rate. We'll be back!
